As an advisor in investment and insurance products and services, I work with people to help them identify their financial needs and assist them to establish a plan to achieve their immediate and long-term goals. I get to know how my clients wish to live their lives, and develop financial strategies — wealth accumulation and preservation as well as estate and retirement planning — to help them realize those dreams.

I create a personalized financial plan for all my clients (via a comprehensive needs analysis) so that they can realize their financial independence and security.

My background

I graduated Carleton University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Law with a minor in Business in 1992. I started my career in the family business — managing one of our two stores with the main responsibility of budgeting and bookkeeping.

Following the sale of our stores, I moved on to Frito Lay as a Route Sales Representative. In the summer of 2002, I entered the financial services industry in the Ottawa area, moving to Toronto in 2003.

My social and professional commitments
I am an active member of the Toronto chapter of Advocis, a professional governing body in the financial services industry.

Having a strong belief in giving back to the community, I have volunteered in many different organizations along the way. I am currently a member of BNI Success Network as the life insurance representative.

How I make a difference in people’s lives

My goal is to help people understand the complex world of investments and insurance in a simple manner that can be easily understood. I focus on all the small details, so that my clients can focus on living the lives they have always dreamed about.

Three ways I make a difference in people’s lives:

  1. I educate my clients so that they understand the reasoning so that they can make informed decisions.
  2. I take care of the small details so that my clients can focus on other areas important to them.
  3. I help them identify their goals and objectives and work with them in establishing a plan to achieve those goals.
